Mission & Vision
Mission & Vision
To raise awareness amongst the lay public about the holistic principle of natural and comprehensive healthcare. The methods offered are based on natural elements, with respect for nature and the environment. The goal is to encourage a conscious person to actively take part in his or her own feeling of wellness, i.e. by paying attention to the four levels of the human being: the body, the mind, its feelings and its spiritual life. By adhering to those values one finds an alternative which is complementary to the existing healthcare offering.
I am certified in very specific professional areas: nutritional advice in the context of improving energy levels, advice in the use of herbs (Bach flowers) and an integrated consultative guidance, foot reflexology, application of relaxation guidelines and medical massages.
For me, THE HUMAN in all his or her aspects is key, and not the ailment, illness or symptoms present. I listen without judging, paying attention to the uniqueness of each individual and, in close consultation with the client, we look for ways to increase the feeling of well-being and to find the internal balance once again.
Katrien Verstraete (°1964)
Having worked in an advertising agency for 5 years and now for close to 26 years in the medical sector, I know what stress is and what its effect is on the body.
In 2007, I was struck by a burn-out and consequently searched for ways to get out of it in a healthy & lasting manner. I then followed a four-year course in comprehensive healthcare at the (not for profit) Levensschool vzw (www.levensschool.be) in Tongerlo, where I discovered a holistic vision of health, the meaning of life, the Laws of the Universe, and much more …
Fascinated by these new discoveries, I decided to guide other people on their way in maintaining their joy for life and in helping them to regain a good health.
I have been a member of the “Vereniging van de Gezondheidsbegeleiders” (Belgian Association of Healthcare Consultants) since 2011, of the “Nationaal verbond der voetreflexologen” (National Trust of Foot Reflexologists) since 2012, and at the same time, I started as an assistant foot reflexology lessons at the Levensschool.
